Water sealant on the slideout underbelly??

Has anyone added a water seal or seen the need to do this on the slide out underbelly. In looking it seems to only have a thin coat of black paint and not the rubber like the main trailer has. I was thinking Thomson water seal or some of that rubber spray as seen on tv. LOL What say my friends here?

If it is used as wheel/fender well I would. Water intrusion is very easy. So look of the situation warrant the project.

Is the exposed floor wood? If it is then a good coating of paint is all it needs. Any seams in wood or metal should sealed with silicone or Dicor to prevent water from intruding into the floor.
The rubber coating is supposed to prevent rocks from scratching metal and starting rust I believe. If the slide out goes into a pocket and is protected from road spray than it is all good as is unless cracks are big enough for pests to get in.
