Waterpump causes feedback in Furion radio - Puzzled
So while flushing and cleaning my system today from winter storage, I ran across this on my 2016 29BHDS. This is the second camping season for it, it was delivered July of 15.
First of all, I was on battery, I cant say if it happens on shore power.
If the water pump is running (which it was today a LOT) and you turn the radio on and the volume is up at all (level 1 or 20, it doesnt matter), there is a small feedback sound that starts coming thru 1 of the bedroom speakers at a constant volume, and that feedback in about 15 seconds is a steady what I will describe as a whiney tone. Again, the tone ends up being a constant volume, regardless of how loud the radio is. The only way to make it stop is to turn the radio volume ALL the way down, or turn the radio off. Disabling that channel of the speakers (or even all the speaker channels) wont stop it. Turning off the water pump, it stops.
So, thoughts? Due to the odd behavior, constant volume, etc, I am really puzzled as to if this is the radio unit, or maybe some sort of a cross wiring problem. I will have it at a campground tomorrow and definitely test it when on shore power and run a few other DC motors, like the furnace fan, etc, just to test. I hate to take it in for warranty work at the beginning of the season, and have some big plans for it in July. If it persists, I may make a quick video on my phone of whats going on so the dealer can go ahead and get the radio etc in.
