Wax or ?? to clean up front of TT

We recently bought an '89 Jayco swan 29' TT. The trailer is in what I consider very good shape for the year, well maintained by the previous owners. The one thing I would like to spruce up a bit is the front "cap" I guess you'd call it? The front outside wall is I think fiberglass and is rather dull. I don't know if there is a wax or something I could apply to it to clean it up and possibly smooth it out. It has a slightly rough feel to it. I don't really want to get into repainting it at this point. Thanks for any ideas.

A heavy application of elbow grease will certainly help. Wash and wax.

Try some meguires ultimate polish followed by some ultimate wax. Both can be purchased at Wally World.

I'll try that. Would it be a bad idea to use an electric buffer, not a high speed just an orbital?

Yes, you'll get better results with a buffer (especially good with DA polisher) plus a lot less elbow grease

To remove oxidation you will need an electric buffer for sure

I do lots of car detailing and boat detailing and lots of the principals for RVs are the same, on fiberglass you can use a rotary polisher with an abrasive polish, if you have a dual action (like the porter cable) or an orbital, it will still work, but it will be a lot longer!

if you just apply a good wax, it will make it look better and slow down the oxidation, but it won't last...

Octane, I noticed that you do lots of detailing
Can you please give me any advice as to how to keep my 2015 F-250'looking clean. I live in OH with plenty of ice & snow during winter months. Is there any certain products you stay away from or prefer to use? Anyone?
Thanks

Hi, dont want to hijack the thread so I'll keep it short, if you want good products that work and last, use Duragloss (105 and 501 are great for cars and rvs) and Collonite waxes

For more info lookup the autogeek.net forums
