Waxing tt floor?

Hi everyone,

I have this idea of waxing the floor in my TT to enhance the colors of my floor. Any pros or cons about it?. Thank you in advance for your contribution.

I am no wax expert, but I have been thinking of doing it in my house to my (~30 -40 yr) old kitchen linoleum floor. It is a no wax floor, how I understand it, it just means you do not have to wax it, not that you should not wax it. What I also understand is once you wax it, you always need to keep it waxed to keep it looking good. As it wears the wax in the groves remain shinny and the upper surface that you walk on wears and scratches from things like sand and dulls. There are products out there that will strip the wax, but I have only heard of them being used on smooth surfaced floors successfully. I know one of our sales offices at work wants a new ceramic floor in their lobby area as the wax has built up in the grout lines and they do not like the look. Let me tell you, they still have that floor as I would not authorize spending money for some silly reason like that, when it still looked good.

I haven't looked at the manual on this for our X20E, but the manual for our old '03 Kiwi specifically said not to wax the floor.

Not sure I would want to wax mine, as the only non-carpeted areas are the kitchen and between the bathroom and shower. They are slick enough when wet - don't need them any slicker. JMHO

Sallie waxes ours. The wax makes the drag marks from the slide rubbing on the kitchen floor go away.
