WDH Pictures on Jay Feather Underslung Coupler

I’d like to see how someone else’s trunion bar hitch looks like on one of the jay feathers with an underslung hitch. Trying to figure out how you can get the bars parallel without having the brackets for the bars hanging really low. Curts pictures are all for top of the a frame couplers.

Welcome aboard.

What hitch system and TT do you have?

I suspect you have a Curt brand hitch, which one?

Welcome to JOF

I don't have a direct answer for your question, but the following older JOF thread (w/pics) link does touch on the subject of getting the TruTrack bars parallel across the hanging bracket surface. The thread (posts #1 & #3) also reference the "underslung hitch" (bottom mount coupler) relationship as 'suspect' in bending the TruTrack hanging bracket.

The TT in the thread is a Jay Flight SLX which also has the bottom mount coupler. I'm not sure if the Jay Feather and the Jay Flight SLX share the same TT A-frame dimensions, and/or ground clearance height.

Just food for thought..

Yeah I wish I’d seen that earlier. Worst case I’ll weld some additional bracing on the bracket because it’s too late to return it. I figured as more trailers are coming under sling someone else would have done it and figured out how to make it behave.
