I've done enough adjustments during my trips that I know it's totally possible. One big advantage is that you at least will be loaded up fully, which isn't easy to do between trips.

Whatever you do it'll be less hassle than adjusting your brakes in restaurant parking lots like I was doing over and over this previous supper. It got to the point I'd just send my wife and kids in so they could get fed while I stayed outside and got dirty and angry. That's another story though.....

Too tip for tightening wd bars is to take some wight off with the tongue jack, makes it much easier. Second top tip is to make sure to retract that tongue jack before you drive away.

I've learned a lot of things by doing them the wrong way, sometimes more than once!

Thanks. That gives me some real world estimatrs since we seem to be a match in equipment. Interesting it is 8500 with water. I don't plan on boondocking much so probably a few gallons of travel water for us. Which should put us around 8,000 ( hmm my prior estimate [emoji41]).

Also, you could try it without. I know my ram doesn’t NEED the WDH but I already had it from my F150 so I use it.

Unfortunately the chains are at max length. [emoji54]

There a couple distinct advantages to using a ProPride. One is that there is no sway...ever! The second is the weight distribution is infinitely adjustable based on loaded conditions. I run less with no water and a little more with water.

$2500??? Definitely more than I want to spend. [emoji41]. Makes the Equilizer $450 seem cheap! But thanks...

No way a prop ride is needed on a heavy duty truck towing less than 10k pounds

Definitely not needed for sure. I already had it so I will continue to use it. Nice thing is, with the diesel/ProPride combo, towing is just as relaxing as driving empty. After 7 hours with several in stop and go traffic (Philadelphia, PA) we arrived in Delaware no worse for the wear.
