We like dark

We like it dark in our bedroom, so I made some shades.

Great idea! What did you make them with and how did you install them. Do you have pics from inside?

We did that also. Went to the fabric store, bought some decorative material for the inside and blackout material the outside. Then hung them with expandable curtain rods.

X2 means "times two". He was agreeing with your question, indicating he had the same question.

I have a roll of Reflectix, which is bubble wrap with aluminum foil attached to both sides. It has insulating value as well as sun blocking value. Our windows are tinted from Jayco, so you don't even really notice it from the outside. Works GREAT!

Thanks for the edit. I see no way to do that myself, even right away.

Here is a picture from inside, lol just kidding. I didn't take any pictures from the inside, I paint the inside black to keep the light out. I finally got back home, sorry it took so long.
We make them out of coroplastic, the same thing we make our wheel shades out of. I cut it to fit inside the window frame and take out the screen and push it in and then put the screen back on.
We could print just about anything someone wanted, like a dog looking out the window.

We took a cheap folding silver windshield screen and cut it for our outside bedroom door window. We weren't sure if we wanted it permanent so we used Command strips to attach it.

I'm glad to hear there's editing capabilities on this forum. The best approach might be to proofread what's been written before posting it. I have noticed an unusually high number of misspellings, incorrect word use, poor punctuation, etc. here. I think it's a big deal because if I can't figure out what you're trying to tell me, we both lose out. All the best....

I went to HD and got a length of "temporary" black paper accordion window shades cheap. I cut them to size and they are taped in place. They've held up for over two years.

Darker shades seem like a great idea! I've noticed our TT is very bright in the morning. Although, I rarely sleep past sunrise anyway. The vent in the bedroom is directly overhead and the white cover seems to intensify the light. Again, great idea!

True. I just put one of those insulating pillows the make for them in at night. We usually are using the AC or furnace, so it's often in there anyway.

We carry insulating pillows for every roof vent. They are very inexpensive. They block light and insulate winter and summer.
