Weber q 120 or Weber go any where propane

Trying to decide which of these 2 grills to get for the TT. I have used my fathers Q120 before and really liked it. I have been also looking at the Weber go any where and it seems to get great reviews. The Q120 has a little bigger cooking area which is a plus for a family of 4. Does anyone here have the Go any where grill, if so please share your opinion. Thanks and Happy New Year...

Never used a "go any where" grill. However I have used a Q120 for the past 1-1/2 years and it is the best gril I have ever used. We are in our
5th wheel about 5 to 6 months a year. During that time we use the gril for about 75% of our meals. Love it.

Personally, with a family of 4, I would go with the larger cooking surface. The Q120 is highly thought of, don't know anything about the "go any where" grill.

I've been using the Q120 for a couple of years and for the two of us, it's perfect. It cooks very good, easy to clean and easy to store. I took the regulator off of it and adapted it with a QC so I can plug it into the trailers gas line by the outdoor kitchen.

I've used both Webers extensively.

The Q120 is far superior to the Go Anywhere.

I have one just for cooking burgers and dogs, etc. It is inexpensive but the Q120 has it beat every way but price.

While we're on the subject of Weber grills, (or any grills for that matter), I thought I had read somewhere in the JOF that many folks reported that grills which were plugged into the quick connect were not putting out adequate heat--not that they (grills) wouldn't cook a steak, but that it took a long time to cook it. Recently I was at Camping World and was looking at grills--Weber Q series, Coleman, CuisinArt and I actually talked myself out of buying one because of what I read from you folks. Also, what setup/configuration will I need to utilize the quick connect, keeping in mind I have a 13' awning that I DO NOT want to cook under? All help is appreciated, as usual. Happy Camping!!

I gave my DH the Weber Q120 for Father's Day and he loved it. It fits in the storage compartment in the TT perfectly and he loves the fold out shelves on either side of the grill for more working space. Also bought the cover for it so it keeps everything clean.

I have the Weber Q100 which has been awesome for my family of 4. Some say it would be on the small side for a family of my size but it is extremely portable and easy to stow away. I also utilize the quick disconnect so I don't have to carry around the little propane cylinders. I took the regulator off the grill and put a quick disconnect on the grill. I have a 15 foot hose with 1/4" male quick disconnect fittings on each end. This allows me to quickly connect to the grill and the trailer with ease. I have no issues with BTU's using this method. I used the website below to get all the accessories I needed for this setup. Hope this helps.

Wolverine.....thanks for the info. I've been trying to locate the parts needed to hook up to my Jayco's propane supply. Not much luck here where I live. Would you please itemize the parts you ordered so I will know exactly what to order. Especially the quick connect for the weber. Thanks and Happy New Year.

These are the parts I ordered to make my Weber quick disconnect compatible with my TT.

1 piece HK-8 - includes 1 quick disconnect valve and 2 male quick disconnect 1/4" fittings

1 piece HP-10C hose 10' long (I mentioned I had a 15' foot hose earlier, I was wrong :-)

1 piece F-322 1/4" fpt x 1/4" fpt

2 pieces F-222 1/4" mpt x 1/4" mpt

I had about $80.00 wrapped up into these parts. You may be able to do it cheaper elsewhere but this is what I found worked as a one stop shop.

Thanks for the info everyone. does anyone have the Q220, im also looking at that one. I need the height measurement from the table surface it would sit on to the top of the lid while the lid is in the closed position. All the measurements i can find are with the lid open. I only have 17.5" of height in the cargo space i want to keep it. I know the Q120 is 14.5. I have checked the local stores and know one keeps it in stock to get the measurement. Thanks again

Even my Q100 is too high to get into the storage compartment without taking off the lid. No big deal, since it's held on by two clevis pins and wire clips. My grill stays set up until we get ready to leave, then I give it a cleaning and put it away.

I looked at the specs and it said 26" in height which definitely sounds like that is the opened dimension. That doesn't make sense
why they would do that. Anyway, I would call Weber customer service, they should be able to help you.

Have a Q120. Hook it to trailer propane and have not changed the regulator. Works just fine using a 12' extension hose. Some folks have had problems with the original regulator. Read the reviews on Amazon. Grill can run hot unless you keep the temp knob pretty far down.

I bought the Weber Q220, never heard of the go anywhere one. The 120 was too small for us and our 220 works great for us. I would recommend at least the 120 if you do not need the cooking area.

The Q220 is 16" tall. We bought it to replace our Q120 in the RV. We found we did not need the extra coking area or the extra size and weight. We went back to the Q120 in the RV. The Q220 is now our everyday grill at home.

I to must thank Wolverine for the parts list and I thank you bigbird for looking out for me. I priced out the parts on the site Wolverine posted and they came to about $130 when shipping was added. And that doesn't include any customs add ons should they hit you up for taxes, etc. I'm in london should you ever want to discuss Jaycos, etc. Don
