We use the Equal-i-zer 12000 on our Jayfeather Select 28U. It is a little tongue heavy. Units are level. Good ride. No sway. Very happy.

I have a 2011 Jayco 26BH and previously towed it with a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 with 5.3 and 3.73. I have the Equal-i-zer 1000/10000 hitch. Make sure you bring it to a scale and get it set up right. We towed it out west to Yellowstone with the dealer settings, kind of a handful. The beginning of the next camping season I spent a few hours at the scales and dialing it in, what a difference. That being said, I loved my GMC but it was lacking for towing this trailer IMHO. We traded to a 2011 Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab 4x4 6.0 3.73. What a difference, the 2500HD is a much more capable rig for us, family of 4 including two older teenagers and a golden retriever. Good luck with your decision but as stated, make sure to spend some time dialing everything in having both truck and trailer loaded as you would when going camping.

I agree completely with the importance of proper setup. It makes a big difference. The dealer where we bought our trailer did not sell Equal-i-zer so I purchased it through a truck accessory shop and installed it myself to the default settings from the company. It was not bad but after readjusting a couple of times paying attention to weight on how level the units are made a huge difference.

Buying and installing myself saved several hundred dollars and I am very clear on how the unit works and is set up.

I use the Equal-i-zer 4 point 1000/10000 with my Jayco 26BH. It does the quite well. Just follow like everyone else has said regarding the proper set-up, watch your weight limits and you should be fine.
