Angry Weight in Bedroom Slide Storage Compartment

I just picked up my 322FKS Eagle with the bedroom slide motor replaced again! The dealer told me to remove the items under the bed in the storage compartment as it was designed to store only bedding. We store nothing heavy in the compartment, only hoses, sewer fittings, and the patio mat, total weight less than 50 lbs. I thought if Jayco wanted a weight limit in this area Jayco would have posted a weight limit for this area.

Anyone else been told this, with rear bedroom slides, with storage under the bed.

The under bed storage in several of our trailers belongs to my wife. She keeps it FULL and we have never had a problem. Jayco used some Chineese motors and they were mostly junk.

Buckeyejim,

Wow, that's news to me..., and if 50lbs is an issue then Jayco better come up with a better idea on the motor and tracking.

My brother in-law has an '09' 322FKS and he has his bedroom slide storage area "jammed" with his stuff, and every bit of 50lbs plus...... never had a problem to-date.

But as stated, Jayco has had problems with their slide motors recently on other models as well.

Bob

If I remember correctly all of JAYCO's slide out systems come from POWER GEAR. We keep lots of stuff (folding chair, bedding, "bar supplies" and paper goods under the bed in our MH and it has functioned fine for 3 years. There is no weight limit listed in any of POWER GEAR's paperwork.

Mine is loaded, no one ever mentioned or posted any weight limits in that area.

I think the dealer is making a poor excuse for a poor decision to use cheap slide motors.
