Weird sound from fuse box area

Hey friends. Hoping someone can help..When I plug in the trailer to 15 amp I get this weird sound from the fuse box. Is something going bad? I think it stops once the battery is charged..I added link video so you can hear.

Unplug or plug into? If it's when you power up it could be the cooling fan in the converter.

Plug in* thanks I edited above.

It does sound like something spinning. But it almost sounds like its struggling. Does that sound normal? I'm a newbie so I wouldnt know.

It may be dirty since the rig is 6 years old. You should see it once you remove the cover. A little lube on the shaft may help too.

X2 or 3 on the converter fan. These are 12 volt fans similar to computer fans. Get your model and serial number and call WFCO. It may be under warranty.

Since these fans only cost $10 or so on the computer market it should not cost much. The one pictured on the WFCO site looks like a computer fan and you might just find one that will fit the hole.

Before you replace inspect it and clean it. It may be as simple as piece of construction stuff, major dust bunnies or the odd, dead bug. Maybe even a bad out of the box fan.

That is the fan. You need to make sure all power is disconnected and open that up and make sure something is not in it.

Depending on the load, it also can surge a bit. It will speed up and get louder if you turn on more things using the 12v, and wind down if you reduce the load.
