I hear ya! 74 degrees last Thursday was tempting me to flush the pink stuff, but woke up to 4 degrees this morning, glad I waited, maybe next week

To the OP - no need to sanitize again. The anti-freeze, while not tasty or something I want to drink, should not impart any bacteria into your system.

I'd flush the pink stuff out and call it good to go.

How cold is cold enough?

My new trailer was delivered yesterday, Unwinterized. It was 28 degrees this morning, warming up fast. I went out and ran the stove top for a few minutes. No water in tanks, but probably some in lines. Rest of week looks above freezing. At what point does it really need to be a concern?
I tried to run furnace, but I just couldn't get the off switch to move. It's already up to 31 degrees. Probably won't camp until June.

Nyncmoo, it all depends on Mother Nature. For me, I played it safe and winterized again. I'm surprised your dealer didn't deliver the unit winterized. It's really easy to do. The sanitizing is what takes SO much water and time. Good luck!

Any idea why I can't get the furnace to switch from off? We really only use the toilet, camp where there is no water hookup or electric, so not really worried about sanitizing water.

On our older hybrid, the heater switch was a bugger to switch at first. I would give a pretty good try. I use 1 hand and hold onto the side of the thermostat with fingers and used my thumb to switch it the first few times.

For those of you who have flushed and sanitized and have again encountered cold weather, you really should consider blowing out your lines instead of adding more RV antifreeze.

It takes less than 10 minutes and keeps your lines clean, no need to sanitize again, just add water and hook up and pull away...

Your not alone when it comes to turning on that thermastat switch. I thought i was going to break it the first time tried it. It will free up after some use.

Force it, it will go. The service dept made a point to show us how difficult it is to turn on because its common for people to think it won't move.
