Went to new Albany RV looked at 5vr

So we went to check out the new Albany RV. It is a really nice place. Looked at some Jayco fifth wheels. We really liked the Eagle Premier 375BHFS, five slides , holy cow. It is a really nice unit. We also looked at the TT Eagle 324 bhts. Nice camper but I would never buy one with my young son. What in the world is Jayco thinking putting the breaker panel in the kids room. It was the first thing my five year old opened to see what it was. Sorry but that is in the wrong place. I also asked about the frame less windows in another thread no response. But just about every unit we looked at with the frame less windows had at least one broken. They were not attached to the window arms no more. I could not get any of them back in there tracks. Also they only open a couple inches. I love my double pane windows that slide. I can open them all the way. This was not just Jaycos. My wife and I were also appalled with how people were with the trailers. We walked in one and a door was torn off another had the light above the sink ripped right off the sealing. Molding ripped off and the worst someone took a knife to a couch. Not to mention the garbage left in the units. All the damage was done by people, I asked. People who do that should be ashamed and get caught. However the new Albany RV is cool and my wife really likes that 5vr but the double pane windows are not an option the salesman said. I love my Eagle TT, they would have to give me a great deal. The windows were even easy to pry open as I watched a women pull one from the outside and open the window
She broke the little wheels on the bracket arms and knocked out the screen.

This one of the reasons why I like order a new RV. I just purchased a 2015 Eagle and didn't want one off the lot where hundreds of people were walking through it. We made a deal to have one made for us from Jayco

Original poster, I was not impressed with Albany RV in the least. Shawn their sales manager and his head salesman are well @55*****. I ended up buying from Johnston RV in Rochester. Better deals and better people to deal with. Absolutely no sales BS.

I saw the camper with cut seats. Sad. The facility is quite nice. I had a rather pointed talk with the salesman for my new unit, which will be picked up in a day or two. He got the message and has really done much better.

I got a small box from them and inside was the flyer announcing the grand opening and a little "rubber" motor home and some coupons for free antifreeze. Let's see, 1800 mi from Texas at 12mpg and diesel hovering between $3.50 and $4./gal. Guess I won't be going.
(I figured this out all by myself!)

Regarding frameless windows, while our X20E does not have them, it does have one window that pushes out like a frameless window, about the same distance too. It's really nice on rainy days, but doesn't hold a candle to the amount of air a sliding double pane window lets in. I'm glad most of our windows are the sliding type.

Use jeff Blair with rvdirect which is Albany wholesale arm...40percent off list of my 2014 Greyhawk 31fk..everything they said happened sent me Jayhawk msrp sticker etc.. two glitches on first trip already received check from them covering it...I do respect that for different reasons people's experience vary but I have been treated very well by RV Direct and the PDI guys mike was an albany RV person...bottom line 40 percent off msrp...

Good to hear that, CampingCat. We purchased two other units from them; a new pop-up and a used trailer. Both were good experiences. This last just seemed to take a bit to get things done right.

We bought a Precept in August. High pressure sales staff from Albany RV, and once they got our money they don't know you. Delivery was a joke, didn't meet our expectations at all. Lots of warranty issues need to be addressed, but repeated calls to service only gets their automated system, and they never return calls. Never received a call from anyone to see how we are doing with our coach. Have not talked to a live person since we picked up the unit. I wouldn't buy an outhouse from that outfit.

The above statement sums it up perfect to a T. I know several people that bought from them and they all say the same thing.
I live 15 minutes from their new facility and will drive to another dealer before I give them one penny. Albany RV is a pure joke.

I bought twice from Albany RV and have been back a few times looking at new TT's. My first purchase was a used TT and the salesman, Matt, was very helpful. He asked me what I wanted in a TT and then called me a week later and he had 13 used units , some met all of my requirements and some met most, lined up for me to look at. As we looked at each one he asked what we liked and did not like. We found one we fell in love with and at that point Matt did a real good inspection of the unit, since it was used he wanted to ensure we knew what to expect. During this inspection we discovered a few bubbles on the roof that appeared to be filled with water- we passed on that unit. As it turns out the last unit we looked at is the one we bought, it did not have everything we originally wanted but was the best layout for us. We made Matt an offer below their asking price , and while we had to come up alittle in price he did agree to do some work to the unit. Kept that unit for 3 years and traded it in for only $1k less than we paid and bought our current TT through RVDirect and picked it up at Albany RV.

Hmmm, more dislikes than I'ld like to see. Oh well, done deal for me at this point. They were a lot cheaper than Kingston for my unit. I kind of agree with the "once they have your money" comment a little. Before I bought, my calls were returned promptly. After the deal I asked for a copy of the invoice to be e-mailed to me to double check all the options were correct and never heard from them. Well, to early for me to flame them. I can only hope for the best. Anyone order a new jayco? They told me 6-8 weeks. That would put me at about the beginning of Dec.

I ordered from them on 8/18/10. Trailer was made on 9/30, was ready for pickup about a week after that. Everything went smoothly for me, but I never went back to them or even contacted them after the inspection so I have no clue how the after the sale treatment is other then what I read on these forums. I have been fortunate in that the only issues were very minor in nature and I took care of them myself. Being 430 miles away I really had no intention of returning there for service anyway.

I bought my Swift 28 BH from them. Lewis the salesman was the nicest, no pressure guy in the world. I have had some issues but because I'm 150 miles away decided to fix them myself. They did offer for me to bring it in so I have no complaints with that dealership.

We ordered ours in December for a late April delivery. The dealer held the order until some time in March and ours came in on schedule.
