WFCO Power Converter Fan

We have the WFCO Power converter with panel. It has all the circuit breakers and fuses. I noticed that when we have only one light on (LED lights) the fan continually cycles on and off, on and off, on and off. Sometimes it as short as 1 or two seconds. It seems that with continued use the motor on the fan is going to quickly fail. Am I not understanding the operation? I am wondering if there is a heat sensor in there that has gone bad.

It charges the batteries too and is pretty normal for the WFCO fan to start. It is a simple PC fan you can get in any PC shop. If you ever replace get one with ball bearings.

Check the fan and intakes for dust. If it gets too dusty, full of dust bunnies, it will run hot. Just like a computer you should shoot it with computer air blast when it is cold and not running. Watch out for a puff of dust in your face!

Don't forget your AC outside coils need cleaning if you are like me and have cottonwood trees in the area to plug up the coils.
