What are 3 Holes In Bumper Frame 2021 Jayco x213 for?

Hello

As I was researching how and whether or not I could carry bike on the rear bumper of my 2021 x213 I came across rear bumper struts such as the mount-n-lock bumper struts. I cut out the paper template to see if it would fit my bumper. I see there are 3 holes in the frame already. Anybody know what these 3 holes are for?

Side note: my research has led me to believe do not go putting bikes on the bumper so I won't. I was wondering if those holes are there for bumper struts already.

Brochure lists a two bike storage rack as an option. Haven't found a picture.

Sounds like.

I have read about the brackets and my 195RB is a different frame from yours but a local welder suggested going several feet down the frame and building a hitch would be much stronger and would not be over $125 here in Peoria, IL.

Are you the first owner of this TT? It sure looks like someone drilled holes for bumper support brackets. My Jayco did not have such holes.

If you properly install bumper support brackets and a high-quality receiver adapter, you should be able to carry a bike on many TT's.

I added four bumper support brackets, two on each side. I then added a receiver adapter. Just be very aware that the mounting bolts that come with such adapters are no good and need to be replaced with Grade 8 bolts which you can get at Home Depot or Lowes. Never use the bolts that come with it, they will likely fail.

Also be aware that adding anything to your bumper will probably void your warranty for the bumper. You need to do this at your own risk.

Another excellent option, as someone else suggested, is having a reputable welder tackle the job.

I installed some wooden blanks over mine, don’t want to make it easy for mice. In addition I used spray foam in all my floor penetration.
