What can this be????

Went over to our trailer today. Open up the door and saw this on the floor. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be?

Carpet? Linoleum? Tile? Waiting on a picture.

You're gonna have to give us a visual to help you identify said item.

Looks like you can see a small hole in the center of one of the piles of sawdust (if that is what it is).

Is the light colored "stuff" similar to sawdust?

Is there a small hole thru the flooring material??

Is it granular like sawdust? or moist like mold? Has the camper been closed up for quite a while? Mildew? How old is your camper? At first blush it looks like lecithin (a type of fungus that grows in humid moist locations) Termites would be more like sawdust though.

Looks like a fungus growth. How long has the rig been closed up?

Since you say there is a small hole... that sure makes me think it is a boring insect of some kind, and the debris is what they tunneled through that they are pushing back out onto the floor (like a gopher leaves a pile of dirt around the hole they dig)

Since you are in the Termite capitol of the world... they love to bore thru almost everything. What year is your trailer???

Right from the internet:

Linoleum is made up of limestone dust, pigments and linseed oil on a jute backing. If moisture and mold have gotten beneath the linoleum, the mold may grow right through the tile to its surface.

Are there holes underneath every little pile of sawdust (I guess I'll call it that for now)? Then there are insects boring up through there. I guess I wasn't aware of mold coming up through linoleum as suggested in an earlier post. I think the dust on the carpet is more of the pattern of the flowers when you look at each one of those that are visible in the picture. I would go with insects on this one without being able to be there and see it firsthand. Obviously, mold would be the second option if there are no holes under each sawdust pile.

Have the same issue. Sawdust found from construction also in the led light housings. Don't loose any sleep over it.

It’s sheet vinyl NOT Linoleum. It has not been made in many years

If there are holes under each pile it is not from construction.

Been there

Is it Styrofoam? My roof vent was loose and caused some of the ceiling insulation to crumble and fall. Longer screws solved the problem!

Ants?

A few years ago I unknowingly left a few acrobat ants in my tow vehicle during 7 months of storage in central Texas. When the door was opened, a small pile of yellowish stuff was on the carpet. It looked exactly like your piles.
