Hi BadBowtie and welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum. The dealer didn't have the hitch we payed for so installed a hitch that had just one sway bar. We experienced lotsa sway probs with wind and trucks passing. The correct hitch with a sway bar on each side was installed and now we have no sway in wind, speed, or passing trucks.

Make sure you have enough weight on the ball of the trailer.. 10-15% any less will cause sway.

Thumbs up Check tongue weight

You've probably figured this out already, but your 1000# spring bars won't handle the 1100 or 1200+ pounds of your unit. Maybe you can upgrade your existing WD setup by getting heavier bars. My 1500# Blue Ox could become 1100 or even less by purchasing different bars for a couple hundred bucks. Good Hauling!

Equal-i-zer Hitch

I'm using a Equal-i-zer 1000lb hitch and have been quite pleased with it. Sound like you would need at least a 1200lb.

I'm wondering what you finally did to resolve your issue.
