What is side camera prep?

The new Jaycos are coming coming prepíd for Furrion side cameras. Does anyone know exactly what that means? I know the wiring is obviously there, but are the factory marker lights ready to accept the Furrion camera module? In other words, donít have to replace the entire market light. Just have to slide on the module..??

I removed the cover plate on one of my side markers (prep’d for furrion) and the connections were there for a camera. New 2021 237RBS. 4 little pins. Now how do I find a way to order a camera only instead of with the marker light?

Furrion sells the right and left side camera only. I don't see them on Amazon.

https://furrion.com/products/right-side-camera

https://furrion.com/products/left-side-camera

These cameras are only compatible with Vision S 5 inch or 7 inch monitors.

Side and rear camera

So, sorry if this is a stupid question, but do you still need to buy the five inch or seven inch monitor? Do the two side cameras and rear camera hook up to the monitor via wifi?

Sorry, Brand new here, and I take delivery on 2/5. Would like to have the install done before I take it.

Thanks in advance,

I bought the rear and side cameras and monitor as an option, the cameras were already paired to the monitor. The cameras are powered from the marker lights circuit on the trailer coming from the truck. I believe it's a blue-tooth connection from cameras to monitor.

Does Jayco give you the 5 or 7 inch display?

Be sure to check out the Haloview camera system before buying the Furrion. More features for less price and fully compatible with the Furrion mounting pre-fits.

You need to buy a monitor....I've got a 7" Furion Monitor and it works pretty good. It gives me both sides and the rear views.

Just a note that I did not buy the side cameras and realized when I pulled away with the trailer that having them would not only be distracting on the 7Ē monitor but very silly as I could see just fine with my side mirrors on a Honda Ridgeline (not even to mirrors). Having the back camera is essential, but sides are not.

Prices question about furrion side markers

I see that I can buy the side markers with the lights and camera cheeper than just buying the side camera from furrion site. Would you able to just use the camera and keep the side marker as an extra one just in case stock ones goes bad ?

Thank you for confirming, I figured as much but wanted to double check.
