What is that doing there?

So we headed to our favorite state park this weekenf for the trick or treat weekend. My 5 yo boy gets one of those cheesy plastic rings and ends up loosing it down the bathroom sink drain this morning. Little bitty ring shouldn't hurt anything, will take it apart when we get home. About 10 minutes later I use the sink and it isn't draining, hmm, that ring shouldn't plug up the drain, but guess I will take it apart now. Not only did I retrieve his cheesy ring, I also pulled a 5" piece of romex out of there. Hmm, no wonder it clogged it up. That drain never did drain well, works great now. Was it really that hard to carry that to the dumpster during construction. And yes, I put the drain stopper that my wife insists on removing back in the drain to help prevent a repeat performance.

Our drain stopper in the bath sink is useless. It won't stay open. Plus, there's no cross bar in the downpipe, so small objects drop into the trap. I'm going to pick up a strainer next time out.

Trailer house staplers aren't widely known for their exemplary work ethics.

When I picked up my 2012 29RLDS I thought they forgot something in the sink to keep the stopper part way up like my 08 Jayce did. But that is the way they make them now. I guess they must have saved 1/2 cent on each one!! I bought a small metal strainer and it fits perfectly in the drain.
Jayco used to be known for their quality but I have had my 2012 for just over a year and had it back to the dealer about 5 times for repairs. Nothing major, just small stuff that is irritating. It has to go back again when I get back from this 11 day trip.
