Hello again! So we have now purchased our new 2014 19 rd and have parked it at home. We left it unplugged last night and today and then we plugged it in to our home and when we did a noise began, almost like a hum or a fan from the mechanism just below the stove, I think this is the furnace, (please don't laugh this is my first trailer ) so anywho there is no air from the vents and the thermostat is set in the off position. I have no clue why this noise is occurring please help! Thanks
Is there any chance it is your inverter? Where the fuses are.

That sounds like it maybe it, is the inverter right below the oven? I have been looking online for a floor plan of the trailer that is more detailed but I haven't located one, if it is the inverter will it always make this noise, or is it because it was plugged into the house or because it was hot in the trailer? Thanks for your help!
Is it ok to make that noise? Is it ok that I have a adapter to convert the plug I was just reading the most terrifying info in the owners manual about only connecting to 30 amp power. Ahhhhh!
If its a fan noise, then yes, its normal. The inverter is charging your battery as well as supplying 12V for lights and such and it gets hot, hence the cooling fan you hear..
You needn't worry about using an adapter to plug into your home AC. Just keep in mind you don't want to overload the breaker. I keep my fridge on most of the summer using an adapter and a short extension down at the barn. I'd rather not use an extension, but the adapter won't fit into the weatherproof receptical. I also pull out all of the camper's 30 amp cord so it's unwound and won't overheat.

There should be a breaker labeled Converter. While plugged in you can switch it off and see if the noise stops to confirm. It should come on during periods of high draw, like full cycle charging or multiple 12V accessories on while plugged in to 110V.
An inverter changes 12V to 110V and a Converter changes 110V to 12V. We have Conveters in our trailers to charge our batteries.
