What is this for?

Just picked up a new to me 19bh. This little thing is in the side of it and it’s driving me crazy that I don’t know what it is. I’m sure someone here knows. Mind clueing me in?

That is the retainer to hold open a hatch or a door. Pull the piece out a little, slip the hatch or door under the clip and the spring tension holds the door up or over (depending on orientation) for easy repeated access.

LOL...I had the same question when we purchased our Camper. I stared at and played with that thing for a whole weekend before it dawned on my that I could use it to hold the door to my storage compartment open.

Our first hybrid did not have these. I put them on because I got tired of holding the hatch door open every time I needed to get something.

I knew what it was, just asked my lady (wife) what it was for. She did not have a clue, I told her for future reference. Thank you for pointing out something that a lot of us take for granted.
