What is this plug?
I just noticed I have this on the very front of the main frame, just below the A-frame and below the front cap. It is some type of 12V plug, but I haven't seen it before. Can someone tell me what it would be used for?

Looks like some kind of heater plug. Like a block heater for a truck. But they're 3 wire. Where do the wires go?

Common 12VDC connector. Picture a flat 4 pin trailer connector with just the first 2 different gender pins.
Either solar or maintainer charger input or 12VDC accessory output. Where do the wires go?

Thanks for the responses.
And yes, Mike, I do realize it looks like 2 prongs from a flat 4-way, but I was wondering what would be a common use for a plug like this? There must be some pretty common use for it for Jayco to take the time to drill a hole in the frame and install it...

Can you chase the wires back?
Does black go to a local ground?
How about the red lead? Battery? Fuse panel?
Once you see what it connects to inside your RV, the guessing will be a bit less wild...

Trailer is back at the dealer for warranty work, but I am pretty sure they just went to a terminal block, where the battery is connected. But I could be mistaken...

My considered opinion is that it is for a solar charging system.
A solar panel connected to a charge controller. To be used when boondocking without a genset.
There are plenty of folk around here more knowledgeable about such things than I am. Re-pose the question in the Techie or Boondocking areas. With the suggestion that it might be solar oriented. You'll get plenty of info!

My understanding solar prep, is on the roof if you have that option.
Personally, I would do two things, if you have a volt meter, check to see if it has power to it.
In reality, I would call Jayco, and ask for a wire schematic, and ask the person what it is for. When you do find out, please let us all know.
I can think of all kinds of things you could do with a 12 volt power point; outside lighting, plug adaptor to run a 12V air compressor,

Looks exactly like a plug-in for a 12V charger/maintainer to me, which would make sense if it was intended for a solar unit.

Looks like solar prep, especially since its a 2016 model, but could be a trickle charge as well for the battery as posted above.
After looking at some pics, it may well be a trickle charger. Most of the solar prep have markings for it such as....
