What is this underneath Water tank?

I am trying to figure out what this is underneath my travel trailer. I believe it might be a drain for the fresh water tank.

It seems to leak when I fill the tank, I tried the little plastic valve turning it both ways but it seemed to leak either way and then I twisted to hard and half of the little "handle" twisted off.

Anyways, I would like to ask someone what exactly it is for and then I might understand it better.

Below is a link to the photo that shows what I am asking about.

Thanks for your time.

Yes, that is the low point drain for the fresh water tank I believe.

thanks, so one way or the other should be off, I assume,

also their is a larger hose that comes out from the underneath just a few feet away, is this like an overflow protection or something? I did leave the fresh water tank fill house in without monitoring it, and then later when I looked water was gushing out.

Yes, the larger, longer one is the fresh water tank over flow tube. And as mentioned, the first one you asked about is the drain for the fresh water.

I would love to get a visual on the water tank but It looks like it is between the floor and this cover on the bottom of the camper, am I correct in assuming it would take a lot of effort to actually get a look at it?

Wouldn't be hard at all. See them screws in your picture. Take 5 or 6 off and you should be able to pull the underbelly down to take a peak at fresh tank.

Thanks for your time.
Just FYI, on mine, turning the handle clockwise shuts it off. Counterclockwise opens it.

If my drain handle is pointing straight out or slightly right of center it is open.
All the way to the left it is closed. Looks like that one might be open.
