1022 one way miles when we moved from Colorado to California, but we took several two to three thousand mile pleasure trips. We have probably 20k miles on our Eagle.

Having wintered in it plus vacations, we've actually lived in it over two years. Biggest problems were the two stairs I ruined on my own property!

Just got home from an 8 week 9,100 mile journey. Was quite an experience seeing that the longest trip prior to that was 2 weeks and maybe 2,000 miles. But we're ready to head out again this spring when the snow starts to melt. FYI live in central Ca. and went all the way to Virginia and back visiting 20 states.

Hi,
Lots of great trips listed here!
My son & I recently had a fantastic trip too, nearly 4weeks out- 26days,
We left in September, SoCal up to Yellowstone, down through Grand Tetons, and wandered around finally ending up in Zion... 10 Nat'l Parks (2 were "Monuments"), and 3 state parks. Took advantage of BLM/NFS Camping when we could & loved it!!
Our Entire trip was around $975!! Can't beat that!

Planning 10-14 day Yosemite trip for next spring, when road across Yosemite opens up, so we can Cruise up from SoCal thru southern Yosemite entrance, and exit East to cruise by Mammoth lakes, and Death Valley.

And also an 8week cross country trip from Oregon to South Carolina, around June!!
**
Happy Camping everyone

Kansas City to West Yellowstone, MT. and back via Denver. Just less than 3,300 miles total. Trip went out without a hitch.

Smile Great Adventure

Our longest trip this summer was 5600 miles over 58 days. Left East Tennessee and made a loop only backtracking 275 miles. Passed through Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Kansas. We stayed in several State Parks including Custer State Park in S.D. which is a great base camp, several National Monuments including Devils Tower and Little Bighorn , Badlands, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Rocky Mountain N.P. Me, my wife and our 2 youngest grand sons had a blast. We had only one issue, our fresh water pump failed in Yellowstone but it was no problem I always carry an extra pump. The best way to avoid problems is to take critical spare parts and before leaving prepare with extreme PM measures. My tires were less than one year old and I check pressure before pulling out every time. New brakes on all four wheels before leaving Tennessee and pulled the bearings cleaning and re-grease before I left home. Long trips over many days are the best, our longest travel day was 376 miles, our shortest was 70 miles. retirement is awesome.

Just back the end of October from 60 days to Santa Fe NM, Fredericksburg TX, Lillian AL, Great Smokey Mountains National Park in Gatlinburg TN and up the Blue Ridge Parkway to Shenendoah National Park (469 miles on the BRP and an additional 105 miles on Skyline Drive). From there we went to Gettysburg, PA and then home. About 8500 miles in all and had a great time!

Minneapolis to Winnipeg CA. straight west to Calgary, over the mountains to Vancouver BC then south to Seattle/Olympia then followed the Colombian Gorge to hwy 82 then onto hwy 84 east and south down thru Idaho, over the Gran Tetons (12,000 + ft.) onto Fargo, then home to Minneapolis. 2 weeks and over 4,000 mi. 1998 chevy. 3500 with a 350ci. and not one mis-hap. in the mountains I got 7 mpg. Great trip. Only mis-hap was we were kicked out of the US entering because we had firewood in the truck. We had to go back into Canada, get rid of the wood and then re-enter. Only change I would make would be to get a bigger HP truck.
