What length screws

did anyone use to mount their tv mount to a wall where Jayco said "mount tv here"?

I used 1 1/2" screws on mine. I checked the thickness of the hardware for the mount and the thickness of the wall. I had 1/4" to spare.

Yes, but I checked w/ a stud finder first to make sure I would hit something solid

If i remember correctly you said yours mounts to an exterior wall, If I were you i would call Jayco and ask. There is no room for error. Mine was an interior wall and i used 1 1/4" x 5/16 lag bolt
