What package did you get with your White Hawk?

All-

I have been doing some research about the White Hawk 28dsbh. It appears they have the following three packages:

1. Customer Value- Standard
2. Summit
3. Glacier

Does the Glacier package include the Value and Summit packages? I don't really care to have the power stabilizing jacks and really would like to stay with the 13.5K AC do to 30 amp requirement. What package did you go with and why?

If it is a new White Hawk the dealer should have a Dealer Invoice Sheet where everything is listed. Just ask him for a copy (he can black mark his cost) You also can download a brochure from Jayco and go down the standard/Options list. Otherwise you can take of the inside cover of your A/C and will see the model# and S/N# and verify with your received A/C manual.

Though they are available options, I don't believe the power jacks or 15k A/C are included in those packages. Our 29REKS came with all three, and we have the manual jacks and 13.5k A/C.

In our case the Standard and Summit packages were standard so we didn't have a choice, and we went with the Glacier as we anticipated doing some early spring and late fall camping.

I just took delivery of a 2015 WhiteHawk 28DSBH and the following are the available options:

Customer Value Package is mandatory for all White Hawks. The package includes: 13.5 A/C, apart tire and carrier, microwave, 6 gallon water heater, auto ignition water heater, ABS gas bottle cover, bath skylight, outside shower, oven and tub surround and aluminum rims.

You can order this package with the 15.0 A/C but not required. There is an additional cost for the 15K A/C.

The Summit Edition Package is mandatory on the 28DSBH (not available on 25BHS or lower trims) and includes: slam hatches on both sides for front pass through storage, 30" entry door, crown molding and wood button strips - living room, exterior fridge, arched interior ceiling, ladder on exterior, enclosed underbelly and 32" TV.

The Glacier Package is available on all White Hawks (not mandatory) but I do not have what that includes (the Jayco site details the walls and floor changes with this option).

Electric stab jacks are a stand alone option.

I picked mine up off the lot and it has the 15K A/C, electric stab jacks and glacier package (this is the Summit Edition Package, Customer Service Value Package with 15K A/C upgrade and the Glacier Package).

The trailer is very nicely equipped and I didn't think about the electric stab jacks but used them this weekend and they are fine. Push a button and down they go, stopping at the exact point to "stabilize" the trailer. The Glacier Package and larger A/C could yield a higher resale value so I was fine with both.

Definitely recommend the 15k air and the Glacier Package. Most folks recommend these items on other threads on the forum.

We are quite happy with our 27DSRL. Don't have electric stab jacks, didn't want them. Just something to have to fix down the road.

I installed a digital thermostat in our trailer. (Coleman direct replacement for $70 at Amazon) Easily installed in about 15 minutes. Makes a world of difference in have a constant temp in the trailer

Good luck with your search and welcome to JOF!

We upgraded to the 15K air conditioner and glacier package. I haven't needed to test it but for relatively a small price I got it anyways. We love our 28DSBH. It's handled great on extended road trips.

Go with the glacier package cooler in the summer warmer in the winter. As Nighthawk said get rid of the manual thermostat, it is a piece of junk.

Glaicer

How much better doses Glaicer package hold the heat over the summit package it seems like the heat runs every tem minutes in my summit. The outside temperature was in the twenty over the weekend at night it was warm enough but the furnace seemed to work hard at keeping us warm we have 31dslb model. And in the front bedroom there is no heat ducts i find that to be a bad design i may duct a vent in there in the spring
