We have Prodigy P3. It was a bit of challange to find the right spot to mount it in the Tundra. We ended up using and open slot near the cup holders. With a few modifications we made it work and fits nicely.

I had the P-3 in my 07 Dodge diesel, but now have the integrated brake controller in my 2010 Dodge 1 ton and have only used it on one trip which was pretty much flat driving so can't say what it will do when I try it in our mountains.

get the very best one you can... your family's life depends on it... Brakes and tires are things I do not buy from the bargain bin...

Prodigy P2-first brake controller I ever had, so I can't compare it with anything else. It works great-no jerking at any speed or braking condition. Definitely recommend this model-and you can't beat the price. Comes with easy-to-understand complete set-up and operating instructions.

My previous voyager would jerk me at low speeds no matter how many times I tried to adjust it. Once I installed the Prodigy and adjusted it I have had no jerk in the 3500 miles we have towed.

Richie and Lenny would not allow me to drive to Florida with my previous controller. They installed the prodigy and showed me how to set it up. They also came to my house to install the power tongue jack the day before we left. They are awesome to deal with.

I have a 09 F-150 and my brake controller was factory installed in the console. With newer trucks that seems to be the way to go if possible
