Talking Where are you camping this weekend?

We're heading out to Finley Flats in Western Montana (along the Clark Fork River).

Where are you going camping this weekend?

Finally, our maiden voyage is this Monday! Heading to Big Sur River Campground for three days. Looks like the weather will be great, too. Busy making lists and more lists. I will try to post some pictures! Wish us luck...

I know the title said "where" but we made the maiden voyage the past 5 days at Douthat State Park near Clifton Forge Va. Trip went great with no problem what-so-ever, even down to the last part of the visit to the dump station. Weather was cool during the nights, down into the 30's but with the heat at night, it was nice. During the days it was cool for a couple but made a side trip/ride to the trout hatchery over in Williamsville, Va and seeing the real thing of fingerlings to 5-6 pounders. On Thursday the lake was nice to go kayaking on, and during the summer looks like a good beach to take a dip. Lots and lots of trails to hike, good trout fishing for some people as we didn't catch any. This was the wife's first try at trout fishing trying to fish from the bank of rocks and slippery movable rocks as she discovered, hiking boots hold water if submerged. All in all a good trip and love the conveniences of our 22FB.

Well not this weekend but next we go from our home base in Reno up to Virginia City, NV...about 30min.

Love this old western town and we will stay for 4 days with some friends and their rig. Good food, entertainment and shopping.

We get back on Tuesday and then Thursday we leave for Wisconsin then back to the Oregon coast in late August.

When I was a Cub Scout leader I always told the parents "You won't melt." When in doubt go camping.
