Where to install inline surge protector.

Have decided to install a inline 30 amp surge protector in my 2012 Eagle lite 298 rls(rear setting area). Power cord enters center of rear, inside a small cab. Inside the cab or exposed? Converter located in panel below frig , door side of unit, about 10 feet away.

ID:	10961I don't know the specific power feed of that TT but I installed my EMS below the fridge on my 26BH. My shore power feed, inverter and power distro panel are under the fridge. I removed the panel, marked all of the 12V output wires and swung it out of the way. There was enough room under the fridge to mount the EMS on a verticle hunk of plywood (it was a bit hard to reach) but the install went pretty smooth. I ran the cable for the external display along with some water lines and mounted it below my kitchen sink. Everything is out of site but I just open the cabinet door if I need to read the display.

Have a upgrade refig, so only about 10 inches available. Then all wires come from all directions(about 20 or so), plus water lines. Not room here . Shore line enters the middle of back wall , about 1 foot or so above back bumper. Sounds like I need to trace that line. tks
