White Hawk owners are you happy with stock matress?

New White Hawk 27 DSRL just arrived. Trying to decide whether to keep stock matress which seems a little hard or
upgrade to a Sleepnumber or other more higher end matress. What are your impressions about your stock matress?

DW says find a new mattress. When she finds one that will make her happy, I'll post the specifics. I could pretty much care less, but that's the way it goes.

If you go the air mattress route, check prices of Comfortaire. We have them in the camper and at home. Pretty much the same as Sleep Number, just a couple hundred advertising dollars less per mattress.

We added 1 1/2" memory foam on the top of ours. It's not like our sleep number, but we can live it for now.

Not sure if the White Hawk mattress and the 2009 Jay Flight mattress are the same, but we also added memory foam topper

My brother and his wife used to use our parents x17z last summer until they went and purchased a White Hawk this past fall. My sister-in-law says she feels the beds in the 17z were more comfortable then then the bed in her 28DSBH. They did buy a foam topper but won't be able to use it until next weekeknd.

We slept in our 27DSRL last weekend for the first time. The factory mattress is ok but could use a little help. We stopped by CW near Springfield, MO and purchased a Perfect Harmony Mattress Topper. It feels much more comfortable than the mattress alone. Have not slept on it yet though.

I full time in our 30 DSRE right now.....After three weeks I think that I am going to replace the mattress. Wife thinks it is just fine but for a larger boy like I am it just does not feel like there is enough support. I think it is going to be a personal preference. Try it out and go from there.....oh but on another note we love out White Hawk, problem free so far.

First outing will be May 17, I'll post a follow-up after that.

Thanks for your replies. Decided on a Sleepnumber short queen.
