White Hawk vs. Jay Flight

So what is the real difference between the White Hawk and Jay Flight. Looks like 3-5K for fiberglass siding and better insulation. Also looks like the WH is lower than the JF. Is there more????

There are lots of little differences, that may add up to being significant to you or not. A couple threads went through thus a bit earlier in the year regarding 2014 models. Here are a couple cut a pastes from them....

(2) The interiors of the Whitehawk and the Jayflight look largely the same. However, I notice the Jayflight has:

Larger refrigerator
Porcelain toilet with foot flush
Much greater cargo carrying capacity
Much greater water capacity
30 lb gas bottles versus 20 lb gas bottles
MSRP slightly below Whitehawk (about $1K)

And here were my observations back then about all different lines Jayco offers ...

Whitehawk -- Doesn't offer larger 8cf fridge, toilet is plastic not ceramic, bed and overhead storage doesn't have hydraulic rams to assist, smaller tank capacity, smaller LP tanks, etc
Swift vs. JayFlight -- Swift seems to have lower holding tank sizes, lower GVWR, missing hydraulic rams in swift like Whitehawk, certain swift floor plans have side mounted AC, non-ducted AC, no thermostat for AC, Smaller LP Tanks, no LP tank covers, no sink covers
JayFlight -- More standard options over Swift but still very similar. I find a little nicer interior finish, now available in fiberglass -- but not gelcoat fiberglass, tank covers, sink covers, rams, etc.
Eagle -- Most amenities available. Gel Coat Fiberglass, nicest interior finishes, domed ceiling, hidden propane, etc

Talking

With those extra goodies in the Jayflight, the weight must be greater than the Whitehawk. So why is it more expensive? Because of the fiberglass exterior, I guess. Glad I ignorantly bought a Jayflight. Seems like a better deal to me.

The comparable model to my 27DSRL is the 26RLS. It is about #800 heavier, a foot shorter. There is no table and chairs option, the bath is smaller, but has a tub. The GVWR is #1000 higher.

The profile in the front is more sloping, so there is no table area under the front bedroom wardrobes, which I miss; although this is a table on DW's side of the bed.

There is more space under the front pass-thru in the 27DSRL than in our old 26BH.

We have a 39" Visio in our entertainment center, which appears to hold a larger TV in a better overall viewing angle than the 26RLS (based on the
pictures on the website, not actually confirmed in person)
