White wire????

Just got home from my first outing with the new 212QBW. While draining the tanks I found a white wire hanging down near tank drain valves. It appears it was just bundled up ther with no connection. Any one know what it is for?

A picture or two would be very helpful here. It will likely get you more accurate responses...

The end of the white wire was hanging loose. Not sure what it is for or where it goes? The end of it was a clean cut, doesn't look to have been pulled out of a connection. The other end goes to the junction Box behind batteries.

I'm not sure, one thing that could be wired there would be a optional macerator pump. Wonder if it could be prewired for one.

I'd be calling the dealership in the morning to get that answer, good news it doesn't appear that anything is broken.

White on a 12V system is ordinarily a ground wire. Does it pass through the junction box or does it terminate?

It is a ground. It comes from junction box near battery and is connected to frame in that box. I will call dealer tomorrow.

The dealer said that the way it is coiled up it is most likely a spare wire. Since everything is working properly. I also have a call into Jayco to see what they have to say as well.

Hi,
When you call them ask them for a wiring schematic (and while you are at it ask for plumbing too). I have the set of schematics and it has been helpful for both electrical and plumbing questions.

No luck getting a schematic. Factory wasn't real sure why it is coiled up ther either. Said it should go to the frame and be cut to length.

I found a thin white wire screwed to the frame and running to a connection on the front side of the grey tank.

I have that wire, there is one on each tank. The wire in question is a larger wire that runs to junction box behind batteries. It is run with the rest of the wiring coming from the front of the trailer. Just weird that the dealer and manufacturer aren't sure why it's there. Lol

The large white wire next to the red ones. Where does it go to? That's the one I am after. Thanks.

I don't seem to have that one. No other solid white wire.

Ok. Man what a pain. Thank you for taking pics and the help.
That's weird.
These are the wires I have coming out of the junction box at the front of the trailer. All of them go to something, except the white one. It stops at the balances and is just coiled up.
