Whitehawk 29bh awning won’t open.

We just set up and our awning won’t open, I checked all of the electrical and it is getting power to the motor, but the motor is just clicking. Last time we were out was July 4th and we had a torrential rain, and now that I know where the motor is, we had the raining running off towards it. I’m guessing the motor is corroded up, but how do I open this thing manually to check?

It’s under warranty but thats a 4 hour round trip and I’d rather do it myself.
Any help is appreciated!

I just had the same symptoms. Turned out the motor was shot.

Have you tried the switch the other way? We rolled ours out so far that it started to roll back in the wrong way which made the switch backwards. ie Out was in and In was out.

Got it open, it looks like the connector on the motor was corroded.

That's good news. You can coat the terminals with dielectric grease to help protect it.
