Whitehawk 29sqb

Hello everyone, just joined the forum. We currently have a Jayflight 26 bh and we are in the process of trading it in for something bigger. So far we like the 29 sqb whitehawk. Does anyone ave an opinion on this model? Our concerns are that it's not wide enough with only a 18' slide. Our other choice is the 28 bhs with an 18' slide also. We have 3 kids and don't want to be stepping all over each other. Thanks.

Whitehawk 29sqb

The sqb has a real tight bunkhouse. What are you using to tow? Have you looked at the 31' white hawk bunkhouse?

We are there with you, thinking an upgrade due to kid #3. I prefer the jayflight 29QBH. We are camped next to the Whitehawk right now, not only is the 18" slide not enought the pantry seems a bit smaller.

I'm towing with a half ton 2wd gmc Sierra 5.3 with 373 gears. Pulls my 26 bh at 5200 just fine. The 29 whitehawk is 5800. Our biggest concern is that we won't be happy with just a 18 inch slide. The jayflight 29 bh is 6400 lbs and my max tow weight is 8500. I thing 6400lbs might be pushing it when we're all loaded down.

I just sold a 28 BHS because of limited space issue with the 18" slide, just didn't give enough space. I went up to a 32TSBH, but I think it will be too heavy for your truck, I use GMC 2500. You might want to look into the newer lite weights.

Well unfortunately we might be looking at other brands. We really like Jayco but can't seem to find the perfect model for us without investing in a bigger truck. We found some Kodiak models that seem to have all the features we prefer.

Well we spent about 2 and a half hours at the Jayco dealership today. We went back and forth from the White Hawk 29sqb and the White Hawk 28bhs. The 29 sqb has the nice 4 bunk bedroom for the baboons ( I have 3). It also has the U shaped dinette, an outside kitchen with separate awning, and a little nicer bathroom. However it's kitchen is small with little pantry space, and the 18 inch slide might be hard to live with I'm just not sure. The 28 bhs has a full slide making for a very spacious living area, 2 separate doors, and tons of drawers with lots of cupboard and pantry space as well. I'm not digging the outside fridge being towards the front of the camper and the BBQ grill mounting at the rear. Can outside kitchens be added??? I asked my dealer and he didn't know. Oh we'll my wife is leaning towards the 28. Decisions decisions.

Cool thanks. I think we are gonna pull the trigger on the 28dsbh. My kids really want the 29sqb for the bunks. I like it too for the outside kitchen and bunk room but the small slide makes it awfully tight in there. Getting really excited for the newTT.

If you order the 2014 model the sofa is a tri fold sofa sleeper and not an air mattress. We have one in our Eagle and DD likes it also.

Congrats on the new TT.

We bought the 29sqb for the bunks 9 months ago. I too like it for the outside kitchen and bunk room..........we wish the slide was deeper but this definately suits our needs. It can be crouded during bad weather. We love it!
