Whitehawk Owners? Rear Receiver Question 32RL

Hello,

First Jayco travel trailer. Looking to see if anyone out there who has a Whitehawk or travel trailer with same frame that has had this receiver mounted to the rear of their unit. Plan on carrying 2 electric bikes so looking at weld on options vs custom work.

https://ultra-fab.com/product/access...product_manual

Thanks,
Robert

Not the same trailer. Our dealer opps'd and installed a hitch similar to what you show. The dealership quoted me a price (parts and labor) that was significantly more than a local welding shop quoted me.

On most TTs you really need to weld on a reinforcement plates to the frame rails first. Parents have had multiple hitches installed over the decades. Everyone, has been custom made, everyone has had reinforcement plates installed. Last TT had 5 reinforcement plates added.

Personally, I would look to see if you have a welding shop near you and ask for a quote on a custom unit. It will be built very well and properly reinforced where needed. Also see if they can add a few "safety chain" like eyes placed on the outer reaches near the TT frame, so you can tie your rack to keep it from bouncing and it is also a good place to secure your bikes to, or even a future generator.

Good luck
