Who else paid extra for "Sway Command" ?
I passed up a better deal on the same 195RB for one that had Sway Command built in. I arrived for pickup, after having given the dealer a basically non-refundable deposit, to find that the Sway Command feature was recalled. The dealer did not install the controller unit and did not charge me for it. But I did pay more indirectly for the feature as I bought a more expensive unit.
I am also left with a unit that has more complex brake wiring that will cost more to fix if it goes bad. It also has more connections that can go bad.
In short, anyone else feel cheated by this whole Sway Command issue? I understand the safety reason for the recall. It does not affect me because my Jeep does not have sway control built in.
But still, I am out of pocket and have the potential for future costs.
