Good question - it would be interesting to know what the oldest one on the forum is!

Really I believe if you didn't get a lemon and have issues in the first couple of years, you get out of them what you put in them. No reason they couldn't last 50+ years if you keep up on the maintenance and repairs and are willing to replace a few larger items as they break down over the years (ie, fridge, trailer seals, etc).

A while back there was either a poll or someone asked the same question.
I am wondering if it has changed. I know I don't have the oldest as my TT is a 2013.

I found this thread. It's not the same question, but related:

It really doesn't count but my dad has a '77 Jayco. Its a 20 ft trailer, but I have no idea what model it is, the tags disappeared long before he bought it. It's actually got a small tub and a huge rear bathroom. And that's why he won't get rid of it. We've never seen anything like that floor plan in the 15 years.

Almost like a challenge! Would be great to post some pictures and see if someone can peg the model!

Although not a Jayco, our other camper is a 1964 Four Seasons. She was 50 years old last year when we decided to move up to our 2015 Jayco 195RB. The old girl was still quite usable and everything worked 100%. We just wanted to upgrade for retirement and have a few nice amenities like Air Conditioning, tub and microwave.

I googled "Four Seasons" and couldn't find any links. Must have been out of business a long time. That's what the name plate and registration says. I credit meticulous roof maintenance to its longevity, plus the fact that for most of its lifetime it had been set up permanently and never trailed. We owned it for 27 years. We had thought of trading it in, but decided to move it further up on our campsite and let our son use it.

I think we may be the winner! Ours is a 27' 1986 Jayco Jay Eagle and we absolutely love it. It's been well taken care of the past 29 years and has a lot of character and charm.
