Why is the 25RB really 27 feet long?

Any thoughts on why Jayco named the 25RB when the shell of the trailer is 27 feet long? Why not 27RB? The total trailer length is 30.5 feet. I am wondering if I will have trouble with my resale down the road.

If you take the factory tour they will tell you the model #'s are not necessarily length specific. Our 2008 35GS was 36.5 ft and the 2015 38 FLSA was 40'.

It will not affect resale price. People tend to look at floor plan, maybe total length, if they have a potential issue for storage.

As far as I can tell it's just another game these RV companies play. My 29MV is 32 long. The model number is only partially related to length.

Just tell them you’re only charging them for 25’ and the extra 2’ are free because they seem like such a nice family.

And my 320RLDS was 35.5 feet. Don't worry about resale, they're pretty much all that way

So's my 31FK.

I just chalked it up to one guy who's really bad at reading the tape measure.

Maybe the "new math" that came out a few years ago has worked its way to the RV industry. Our 19RD is listed as being 23', but the actual body measures 19' 7". I think I remember the model numbers were more to actual length many years ago.
