WiFi for TT

Need some thoughts on receiving good bandwidth WiFi internet for working on the road. What are other JOF members using?? Is satellite internet an option??

Here is a thread dealing with just that. I use a roof antenna with an EnGenious ehn202 to pull in weak, remote signals.

My truck has the Ford Sync3 Infotainment system that can be used as a hotspot. It has worked great when camping as long as you are within 50 feet of the truck you get a great signal, will handle up to 10 devices at a time. Cost is $20 a month for unlimited data through AT&T, we can sit in the camper and watch Netflix, Hulu, movies

Does the hotspot only work with the key in the ignition?

No the key doesn't have to be on to transmit the signal.

Do you know if this is over satellite ie. xm radio, or cellular. If satellite, it will work everywhere.
