Wiggley trailer when parked

This is our first real trip with our 25BHS and the only thing I'm not liking is I can feel any movement in my camper. I have the trailer leveled, I have blocks so my leveling jacks aren't extended all the way, and I have chocked the wheels. I know I read somewhere on this forum on the X-chocks, is that that cure?
Thanks!

While I haven't bought anything yet, something like a BAL Stabilizer will likely stop the movement. The x-chocks will help, but not eliminate the issue.

Although shown on a 5th wheel it's the same for a TT

The stabilizer arms work well and will take out 90% of the side to side movement as well as the "wiggle". One other thing to consider is your suspension which is where there is also play and should it really bother you install a set of scizzors as close to the wheel as possible.

I did both and I am about as solid as one could ask with a trailer short of blocking it every 5 ft. The arms are also great since they do not require storage and are just twist away from being set.

Some campers place a set of bottle jacks under the TT axle for added stability.

Before you spend time and money adding additional stabilizers or stabilizer arms try the x-chocks. I think that you will be pleasantly surprised at how effective they are. I also re-tighten my stabilizers every couple of days unless I am camping on concrete or asphalt as they sink into the ground slightly.

I also would suggest a jack under the frame. On my previous trailer, an expandable, I used a small scissors jack (from a Honda) under the slide-out side between the wheels, directly on the main frame. Stopped almost all of the bouncing.

Also as recommended, tighten up on the stabilizers every few days.

I'll have to look into the X-chock too.
I was/am checking my stabilizer jacks twice a day b/c it was driving me nutts. LOL!
If we were permanent campers, I would invest in bottle jacks and block the trailer ever 4-5 feet but I'm trying to keep everything compact and easy since we are "transients".

Thanks everyone for your input, this is all good info to educate the "noob" camper. LOL

One of these cheap but effective aluminum stack jacks placed under the frame, just in front of the front wheel, on each side will work wonders. I use them along with the BAL X chocks.

I have 4 of the stabilizers pictured above. they seem to do a decent job but I'm still learning the differneces from my 2007 pop up to the 1990 Jayco 250. I have one 4 ton bottle jack that I carry. Going to try it mounted between the wheels this wknd when we go camping.

I would add my 2 cents worth that the X chocks really do help a lot. As said above, they will not completely cure the situation, but they eliminate a lot of the wiggle.

X-Chocks DO the trick. They made a huge difference on our 29X.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but even with my four scissor jacks down, X-chocks in, and pyramid jacks just fore and aft of the axles I still have quite a bit of movement...

Take a look at the JT strongarm stabilizers, they really do work. They cost a little more and do take a little time to install, but you will be happy with the results.

I use the Bal chocks and I put one or two 2 x 6 under each stabilizer so that they are not out very far. Our unit stays pretty solid, even when the wife gets a little frisky :lizard: :hihi:

Do you have any bolted on scizzors or ground jacks? Not having them attached to the frame will allow them to move a little in any direction. If you were to go with 4 points of contact hard mounted with the jack stands near the wheels, fore or aft then the bal x in the tires I bet it would be pretty solid.
