I’ve put on Air Tabs on the rear of the truck cap, trailer and ac unit. Seemed to have a benefit based on the before and after data I took, posted somewhere on the forum.

My front DIY air deflector works for me. I guess the best way to test aerodynamics is a wind tunnel, but that’s not so easy for the average person. I had some time to kill during the covid shutdown so I built an air deflector. Even 1 MPG savings really adds up when you’re getting 7 at 3.50 a gallon. I have a 34 gallon tank 34 extra miles per tank is a 5 gallons savings. I will try to test it some more this season.

Had an Airstream, was in the Airstream forums back then. Yes they are slipperier and the TV gets better mileage as a result.
Doubts?
Spend a little time researching it. The folks in Europe where fuel is more expensive swear by air deflectors on top of the TV to increase fuel mileage. Even my father, an engineer with a camping habit, put an air deflector on top of pickup truck cab when he got a 5th wheel.
Or look to the trucking industry. They have a bunch of tricks for improving fuel mileage.
