Winter storage

I have my trailer under a rv carport. No weather can get to the slide side. Should I have my slide in or our for winter? Or does it matter
Thanks

I would keep the slide closed, less chance of little critters using the wiper seals (chewing thru) as an entry point. The corners are the favorite spots.

If it is covered and out of the weather, it really does not matter. Personally, I would have them in. Less chances of something going wrong. Do you use your TT when it is in the carport? If so, how often? Is the floor plan one that allows you to walk through and do what you need to with it closed up? All good reasons why you might want to keep it open.

We store our TT at home, outside all summer. I often leave my slide open, sometimes I close it. It is just a push of the button if you want them open or closed.

If you can, keep it plugged in or make sure the battery is fully disconnected.

I keep mine in an run a dehumidifier because I live in the PNW. When we have the family at Christmas it’s out and the kids take it over, it like their house.
