Winterizing ? 2013 25RKS Galley Grey Tank Drain

Hi All,

I am starting my first winter prep on my 2013 25RKS and would like to know what others may have done. I have the factory thermal package which encloses the belly but the drain line from the galley grey tank comes out below the cover and runs forward for about 12ft to then main drain junction. I have been thinking about how best to winterized this line. I am currently living full time in my trailer so my solution has to be able to manage keeping this line from freezing up. I am in SE New Mexico so it should not be super cold but nights below freezing with cold days are certainly possible.

My current plan is to install some kind of heat tape and insulation on this line but am thinking about a semi permanent electrical install so that I can keep my pedestal connections free for my water hose heat.

Have any of you out there dealt with this already and want to share some ideas?

I also would like input on heat tapes but will put that in another post.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Terry
