Winterizing
I thought I had winterized my trailer on Monday after finishing up my last camping trip of the year. I believe I may have forgot to turn a water valve off to the fresh water tank since I checked the drain plug to it and had a little bit of pink water coming out of it. Also didn't get the hot water pipes winterized. For some reason I thought this wasn't needed since I drained the hot water tank. There are 2 valves on the water pump. 1 is for the anit-freeze hose and the other goes to the fresh water tank. I think that some anti-freeze went into the fresh water tank. Fortunately the temp has dropped to freezing yet, so I still have time. I looked at the Winterizing Central post and will check my valve settings at the hot water heater.
My questions are: 1. Does the valve to the fresh water tank at the water pump have to be turned off when filling lines with anti-freeze? 2. Should the hot water lines have anit-freeze in them?

Yes the hot water lines should have antifreeze in them. Antifreeze will not hurt your fresh water tank, but you will use more antifreeze if you don't close the valve. You do NOT want antifreeze in your water heater. The antifreeze will damage the liner.

All of the lines need to have antifreeze in them. Including the hot water lines. They are subject to the same temperatures as the cold lines. The fresh water line from the tank to the pump should be off. There is no need to put antifreeze in the fresh water tank. Don't forget to remove the shower hoses. Both the inside one and the outside one if you have one. Also put antifreeze in all drain traps.

Removing the shower hoses? That seems to be something that didn't seem necessary. Please elaborate. I'm always up to learning more.

I do not remove either of the shower hoses, but I do run antifreeze through both.

The plastic shower head can easily get a hairline crack where the hose connects. I just find it easy to remove it for winter. I replaced 2 that cracked. I don't think it was water freezing...just the plastic couldn't stand the stress of the cold.

Can't say I've never done that in the (soon to be) 13 years I've owned the TT. I never had a problem either but, it may depend on the brand of shower head you have. Mine's just the basic one that came with the TT. However, I do hold the shower hose and head above the shower outlet to ensure whatever water in there drains out, but that's it. Any water remaining in the hose section should be a non-issue as it would expand if any water remaining in the hose freezes.

I also do it your way, but last year our hose connector froze and broke where it connects to the shower head...
I will remove them this year.
