Wiring home for Jayco battery wire

Sorry, this should be quick and easy.

As background (for those who want to sit back and read the story). We have a fairly new Jay Flight SLX 245RLSW, and had a bad winter ice storm that left us without power for 10 days, somewhere along the lines (of course in the middle of the night), a sensor alarm started going out since it wasn't getting electricity through the RV plug any more and ran out the batteries. I quickly went out and disconnected all of the battery connections. I've since gone back and re-charged the batteries and all is well there.

But now that it's all back to 100%, there's one issue. There's this one small cord left. Normally I wouldn't even have questioned it as it's a newer trailer and the cord sheathing is black, so without question any black colored cord is negative, but my main concern was that someone put a red plastic connector to the end of a black cord (confusing it since I've not seen people mixing black/red coloring on cord options in modern era times on equipment) and the cord itself was wrapped around some plastic conduit next to the battery terminals, and it really could only reach the red terminal easily as far as the way I think the batteries were facing. Admittedly it was 2am and I just pulled wires off the terminals and pulled batteries out and put them in my garage at the time. But I'm suspicious as I don't know if it should be going to red or black.

Thanks

Does it go to your Emergency Break-away switch? Those are usually black and it would be "positive".

What Grumpy said - or if you have a power tongue jack it could go with that as well. Are you able to follow it back and see which item it goes to?

Perfect. Thanks. I traced it back to power tongue jack. So clearly positive. Been doing too many remodels with A/C wiring, got my wires crossed there momentarily. Thanks again.
