Wood Stain

Does anybody know what color wood stain or a matchable color for the 2018 Jayco 25BH sliding bedroom doors are? Thank you!

Do you have a snapshot of it? Our 2018 SLX 212 has darker brown wood cabinets and doors. I found Minwax Red Mahogany was a close match.

As an amateur woodworker who's made a few cabinets, I'd simply toss out that you should expect an >exact< match to be hard to achieve. It's not only the stain, but the wood itself (and the wood prep) that will influence the final appearance.

Big shops will color the finish that's sprayed on too.

If you need an exact match, then you might find yourself buying several stains and mixing up a concoction. Or, finding a professional refinisher.

The good news is that it's usually dark in an RV.
Aim for "close enuff".

At first I agonized over my color matching then I thought “ it’s just my camper”! I did a Minwax mix and started my next adventure down the road.

The Amish Craftsman, installed a small but highly prominent panel in our kitchen with the grain running left to right.

Everything else is vertical.
It drives me ntuz.

I spend a lot of time matching grain when I'm making cabinets. I'd like to ask the "craftsman" just where he learned this craft.

I’m guessing he learned it from his boss who said “Don't waste that scrap — turn it sideways. We can save 37 cents!”

I'm like Tunce the traverler and also pconroy. At first I spent hours at the big box store trying to find just the right color match for the stain I needed for drawers I was adding to my trailer, and then I thought "what the heck am I doing?". I figured I was wasting my time because 1) It's just a trailer; 2) our time is spent mostly outside the trailer anyway; and 3) the trailer tends to be a little dark on the inside because of dark stained cabinets.

So I grabbed a stain I thought was close enough to the color already had and by golly, it was close enough!
