X213 - Soft Floor Joint

So... my floor is fairly solid except in one spot... a floor joint between the stove and dinette running side-to-side. The lino is no longer glued to the floor due to the flex in the joint. My plan was to brace the joint from underneath, but it's right where the fresh water tank is. Other than dropping the tank, any thoughts or suggestions? I could add a plank floor on top of the existing lino but I'm not a fan of doing that.

After mulling over the many suggestions and opinions... I think I'll protect the joint from further damage with an aluminum threshold piece... until I can install some plank flooring.

1.5" aluminum band siliconed along the joint solved my problem. Easily removable when I install new flooring in the next few years.

I may have to do the same thing in my 2013 29SQB - soft spot in front of the stove/sink area. Feels like the linoleum will crack at some point. Thanks for the posting this idea.
