Yup, another schwintek slide ?

Hi All....

I have done many searches and can't find a definitive answer.....

I have a schwintek slide, it runs fine, no weird noises but when it retracts it goes really really slow almost to a stop, but doesn't stop. It is not the batteries, they are new, fully charged.
The slide performs the same whether I am on shore power or not.
Slide extends fine, faster then when it retracts.

So the question is......is this normal? If not what could be the issue? The trailer is a 2020 eagle ht 274ckds

Thanks!!

That doesn't sound like "normal" operation to me.

My Schwintek operates at the same speed in or out.

First thing I would do is check for any obstructions (inside or out). Make sure it is lubed properly (there is a YouTube video that shows how to do it). I lube mine at least once a season, but should probably be doing it twice; the difference after lubing is noticeable. Then I would inspect the wiring looking for any loose connections. Then I would make sure I held the button down for a good 5-count at the end of travel in/out (alignment/sync procedure).

Hopefully someone comes on with some diagnostic advice. Sorry, that's all I've got.

Hmm maybe that's it, lubrication. I just ordered the Power Lube.
I watched the video....this is what he says:

And then underneath the rack, pull the seal back and you’ll be able to see the gib in there. Get the tube at the gib, and a couple shots there. Do the same procedure on the inside, and that’s all there is to lubricating your Schwintek Slide-Out.

What does do the same on the inside mean?? Inside where? How? Am I missing something?

Thanks!!!

I think you do it with the slide in. You reach around and pull back the wiper the same way you do on the outside (when the slide is out) and put a couple shots of lube on the "jib" from the other side. At least that's how I remember it. It's time for me to do it again, so this is the longest time since the last time I did it, and I have a bad case of CRS right now. I'll have to go back and watch the video again before I lube mine next week...

We had one slide doing that so crawled under the slide when it was open and found a couple screws rolling around under the slide. Probably left there by someone at the factory. Works much better without them in there.
