1991 Jayco 1006 - Entrance Step

Hey everyone!

Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not the 1006 had a step? I purchased a used PUP which did not have the step and after several close calls with an free-standing stool, I would like to pick one up.

I can't seem to find any information regarding whether or not they had a step and what size/how do they get mounted?

A local guy is selling the step off his Dutchman Hybrid and I'm wondering if I can just bolt it on to the frame?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

Derik

look under the doorway and see if you see any mounting holes or bolts for the step brackets

Sorry, should have clarified that my trailer is in storage and I don't have immediate access.

The step was an option. And they offered 2 types of step, a permanent folding step and a slide in step that fit in holes in the frame. We bought our '93 1208 without the step and I ended up making a step stool from an old short pallet.

But either way, you should be able to bolt up a folding step. Just use a starter bit then work up to the right size for the bolt.
