1996 Eagle Decker door lock repair

First outing door lock failed I suspected a spring broke. Removed to find rivets so tied door shut. looked and found Decker 1042 replacements upper 40's to 90's in cost. Removed later and drilled out the rivets and was able to re-bend springs and use a machine bolt and nut at the latch end. left the 2 rivets out that hold the 2 parts together in case I have to do it again. Will keep my eye open for new springs but for now works OK
